Moselschleife at night Painting 40 X 50cm

To capture this iconic horseshoe bend in the Mosel river, I used a very simple colour palette with most colours using Ultramarine blue as a base. I love flicking paint and a night sky with stars is a perfect opportunity to do so. High clouds catch the last light from a setting sun and the town below is already glowing with street lights.
